Time is rapidly approaching when
the new computer controlled Vertical
Turning Center will arrive. This new
Giddings and Lewis machine is the
most modern boring mill available. The
machine harnesses the power of a computer
for most calculations enabling
programmers to enter dimensions directly
from the part print.
All controls are located on a single
station convenient to the operator. Variable
information may be entered
quickly through the keyboard.
The machine will have a sixty inch
table and a twelve station tool changer.

Another interesting feature is the
diagnostic service. The machine is tied
into a computer diagnostic service. If
you have a machining problem, the
computer will search out the difficulty
and print out the corrective action.
