MIL 'ON'; DTC P0450, P0443 OR P0446 STORED DUE TO THE
EVAP SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR
APPLIED VEHICLE(S):
1996-97 Maxima (A32)
1996-97 240SX (S14)
1996-97 Sentra/200SX (B14) with GA16DE engine
1996-97 Truck (D21) with KA24E engine
1997 Pathfinder (R50)
SERVICE INFORMATION
If one of the applied vehicles has a MIL 'on' condition and DTC P0450 (EVAP system
pressure sensor), P0443 (EVAP purge control valve & solenoid valve) or P0446 (EVAP
vent control valve) stored, the cause may be the EVAP system pressure sensor.
There is a countermeasure sensor available to resolve this incident.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Use the Trouble Diagnosis For DTC P0450 in the service manual EC section to test the
EVAP system pressure sensor and circuit.
2. Replace the sensor if necessary with the countermeasure part from the table on page 2.
