Now in its 26th year, the largest, most<br />
comprehensive summer music program<br />
welcomes 1000 students from over 70<br />
countries each year. Students can improve<br />
their performance abilities in one of<br />
four different tracks of student: jazz, pop/<br />
rock, funk/fusion or pop/r&b. Students<br />
must be at least 15 years old and have<br />
played their instrument for a minimum of<br />
six months.<br />

the 63rd season of Camp Encore/<br />
Coda offers students numerous performance<br />
opportunities—including the<br />
ability to learn a second instrument—at a<br />
scenic lakeside location.<br />

An 80,000-acre site in the Catskill<br />
Mountains plays host to this exclusive<br />
80-person camp, a five-day musical<br />
cross-training program conducted by the<br />
band Medeski Martin & Wood. Students<br />
ages 16 and up will experience a nontraditional<br />
curriculum replete with guest<br />
collaborations and evening jam sessions.<br />

This rigorous musical theater camp<br />
includes acting, vocal coaching, dance<br />
and performance techniques. In addition<br />
to mandatory ear-training and theory<br />
courses, Camp MSM also offers musical<br />
and non-musical electives including<br />
dance, acting, art, jazz band and stagecraft,<br />
all of which culminate in an end-of<br />
summer musical theater production in<br />
MSM’s state-of-the-art recital hall.<br />

The 25th edition of the College of Saint<br />
Rose Summer Jazz program furthers<br />
campers’ musical skills through structured<br />
rehearsals and public performances<br />
as well as optional master classes. Students<br />
are divided into two jazz ensembles:<br />

in grades 10–12.<br />

Al Cohn Memorial Jazz Collection at East<br />
Stroudsberg University.<br />

Thomas and Grace Brown developed a<br />
program that emphasizes individualized<br />
instruction, and classes are limited in size<br />
to ensure that each student aged 10–18<br />
receives undivided attention. Improvisation,<br />
theory, harmony, composition,<br />
arranging and conducting are covered.<br />
