slalom. The Mountaineers’<br />
captain, Anderson<br />
led the Central Mass.<br />
League in points for the<br />
second straight year. Being part of Team<br />
Massachusetts’ team title at the Eastern<br />
High School Championships and winning<br />
the Division 1 Super Bowl with Wachusett’s<br />
football team are Anderson’s most<br />
memorable sports moments. Anderson<br />
also enjoys waterskiing, fishing and mountain<br />
biking. He is the son of Linda and<br />
Leonard Anderson of Holden.<br />
Jonathan Green<br />
St. John’s High<br />
Freshman, Giant Slalom<br />
Green burst on the<br />
scene with a fourthplace<br />
finish in the giant<br />
slalom at the state championships.<br />
He tied for<br />
second in points in the<br />
Central Mass. League.<br />
Green’s goals for the next<br />
three years include winning<br />
a state championship<br />
and the Eastern High School Championships.<br />
His most memorable sports moment<br />
was finishing second at the 2008 Piche<br />
Invitational at Gunstock. Green is a member<br />
of the Waterville Valley race team and also<br />
enjoys biking. He is the son of Susan and<br />
Thomas Green of Berlin.<br />
James Gray<br />
Lunenburg High<br />
Senior, Slalom/Giant Slalom<br />
Gray makes his fourth<br />
straight appearance on<br />
the T&G Super Team. He<br />
finished fourth in the slalom<br />
and 18th in the giant slalom<br />
at the state championships.<br />
The Blue Knights’ captain<br />
was the individual cochamp<br />
of the Mass. Bay<br />
West League. He also had<br />
a fourth-place performance for Team Massachusetts<br />
at the Eastern High School Championships,<br />
a feat he considers his most memorable<br />
sports moment. Gray enjoys the outdoors<br />
— biking, swimming and hiking are<br />
among his hobbies. He plans to study environmental<br />
science at either St. Michael’s or<br />
Champlain colleges. He is the son of Martha<br />
and Berkley Gray of Lunenburg.<br />
Erik Johnson<br />

Sophomore, Slalom/Giant Slalom<br />
At the state championships,<br />
Johnson finished<br />
10th in the slalom and<br />
23rd in the giant slalom.<br />
Receiving his medal for<br />
finishing 10th was his<br />
most memorable sports<br />
moment. Johnson won<br />
one Mass. Bay West<br />
League race this year and<br />
finished second in points. He also competes<br />
for the Franconia Ski Team. Outside<br />
of skiing, Johnson participates in rowing<br />
and is a member of the Mass. State Junior<br />
Rifle Team. He enjoys set design and construction<br />
and is a member of a Boy Scout<br />
troop in Harvard. He is the son of Ann<br />
Whitney and Rick Johnson of Harvard.<br />
GIRLS’<br />
SKIING<br />
Jackie Sampson<br />
Bromfield School<br />
Sophomore, Giant Slalom<br />
A<br />
repeat T&G Super Team member,<br />
Sampson finished 15th in the giant<br />
slalom at the state championships.<br />
She was 26th as a freshman. Sampson<br />
didn’t finish the slalom race at this<br />
year’s states (she was 24th last year),<br />
but came back with that strong run in<br />
the giant slalom. For the second<br />
straight year, Sampson was fourth in<br />
the Mass. Bay West League in scoring.<br />
Sampson also raced for the Mount Washington<br />
Valley Team this winter. She is a member of the Bromfield<br />
rowing and lacrosse teams. Sampson enjoys playing<br />
the piano and is a Catholic religious educator for<br />
kindergarten students. She is the daughter of Audrey<br />
and Dean Sampson of Harvard.<br />
Sheridan Sleeper<br />
Algonquin Regional<br />
Senior, Slalom<br />
Sleeper, a repeat T&G <strong>All</strong>-Star, led<br />
Algonquin to the Central Mass.<br />
League title and finished 13th in the<br />
slalom at the state meet. For the<br />
second straight year, Sleeper was<br />
selected to Team Massachusetts for<br />
the Eastern High School Championships,<br />
and she helped her squad to a<br />
second-place finish. Sleeper earned<br />
conference all-star honors three consecutive<br />
years and also starred in field hockey for the<br />
Tomahawks. In addition to skiing, Sleeper enjoys sailing,<br />
golfing, music and styling hair. She plans to study<br />
business at the University of Vermont or the University of<br />
Denver. She is the daughter of Brenda and Matt<br />
Sleeper of Northboro.<br />
Colin Mace Proctor<br />

Junior, Slalom/Giant Slalom<br />

Team selection, Proctor<br />
finished eighth in the<br />
slalom and 19th in the<br />
giant slalom at the state<br />
championships. She is a<br />
three-time Central Mass.<br />
League <strong>All</strong>-Star, and has<br />
competed for Team Massachusetts<br />
in the Eastern<br />
High School Championships twice. Proctor<br />
calls winning the team title at that event<br />
his most memorable sports moment. He<br />
also races in the Mac Cup Division for the<br />
Gunstock Ski Club. Proctor, who also<br />
enjoys sailing and lacrosse, comes from<br />
an athletic family. His sister, Devan,<br />
received the T-Hawk Award for being a<br />
four-year, three-season athlete at Algonquin.<br />
He is the son of Nancy and Michael<br />
Proctor of Northboro.<br />
GIRLS’ HOCKEY<br />
Alyssa Ineson<br />
Shrewsbury High<br />
Senior, Center<br />
Shrewsbury’s two-year girls’<br />
hockey captain, Ineson was<br />
among the Greater Boston<br />
League’s leading scorers with 29<br />
goals and 21 assists. She<br />
helped the Colonials to a 19-2-1<br />
record and the quarterfinals of<br />
the Division 1 state tournament in<br />
just the program’s second year.<br />
She totaled 80 points in her two<br />
seasons. Ineson starred in field hockey for four<br />
years and last fall was named the T&G’s Player of<br />
the Year after leading the Colonials to the Central<br />
Mass. Division 1 championship. Ineson will attend<br />
UMass in the fall. She is the daughter of Donna<br />
and Doug Ineson of Shrewsbury.<br />
Breanna Monroe<br />
Shrewsbury High<br />
Sophomore, Forward<br />
The left wing had 34 goals and<br />
19 assists to lead the Greater<br />
Boston League in scoring and help<br />
the Colonials to the quarterfinals of<br />
the Division 1 girls’ hockey state<br />
tournament. In just the second<br />
year of the program, Shrewsbury<br />
finished 19-2-1. Monroe tallied five<br />
hat tricks, and her three-goal effort<br />
against Algonquin, along with the<br />
Colonials’ first-round state tourney win over Medway,<br />
are her most memorable moments. Monroe was<br />
named a Greater Boston League <strong>All</strong>-Star and has<br />
been elected assistant captain of next year’s<br />
Shrewsbury team. She is the daughter of Heidi and<br />
George Monroe of Shrewsbury.
