Extreme Interaction And Instant
and CEO Philippe Dauman alongside
MTV president Stephen Friedman,
director/producer Jon Chu
and singer and actress Selena
Gomez, as they look at how best
from its media.
founded their agencies within days
of each other 30 years ago.
Next Sir Martin Sorrell of WPP
have been submitted to the 59th Cannes
Lions International Festival of Creativity,
representing an increase of over 19% on
SUNDAY, JUNE 17,2012
ian Coe for The Cannes Debate:
Marketing And The Media —
Three Big Challenges. The trio
will discuss how major sports
events can drive innovation and
adoption of new media technologies,
from colour television to
tablets and smart phones. They
will also look at how London 2012
can reach young people and
inspire them to choose sport.
Later the same day Grey's Music
Seminar features Deborah Harry,
one of popular music’s most
enduring icons. Best known as
the lead singer of Blondie — which
has sold 40 million albums — Harry
will be introduced by Jim
Heekin, Grey Group CEO, and
the client community in Cannes
this year, Stefan Olander of Nike
will be joined by RG/A’s Bob
Greenberg at Wednesday's Building
a New Ecosystem for Consumer
technology in sport to
inspire and enable every athlete
to do better.^
GSP: HE’S A BRAND
fCANADIAN athlete Georges
St-Pierre is both a mixed martial arts
UFC champ, and a celebrity whose
brand has transcended his sport
thanks to the astute use of social
media. Everything he does is an
opportunity to build his fan base and
gather more likes. As such, this
superstar athlete has much in
common with many consumer
brands today. At the Globe And Mail
conference today at 15.30 in the
Debussy, St-Pierre and the Montrealbased
Sid Lee team will be
demonstrating how to build and
maintain a social persona with
maximum impact — and minimal
damage.
