Everywhere you look,
You see it.
The change is coming
And it’s fast.
Like the change of seasons.
People everywhere are cheering,
The sight of freedom is everywhere.
The change is coming
And it’s fast.
Like the change of seasons.
But the change seems slow,
It needs its martyrs.
Sacrifice in the name of freedom,
In a time of change of seasons.
Change seems slow,
But spring has come.
And there is freedom for numerous states.
The change is coming and it’s fast.

Those Who Are Gone

Look upon their faces,
Their mouths open in an endless scream,
Frozen in that single moment of time forever,
Look upon their faces,
Their eyes widened so far that the whites,
Become the dominant features in their complexions,
Look upon their faces,
Their pale lips that are partially open,
To tell last goodbyes,
Waiting for the words to come that never will,
Look upon their faces,
The bruises in the hollows of their cheeks,
Fading slowly, in much the same way that they did,
Look upon their faces,
And weep.
