Persisting in the quest,
trying to decode their secrets,
drafted meticulous plans for
propulsion, control.
Images of birds with
Unencumbered essence of flight
ruby-throated humming birds
Glider with curved wing,
lean left or right to turn,
push the control bar for speed,
push the bar to land,
but still augered into the sand.
Always loved to fly,
eyes turning skywards,
strange, lovely moment,
sooty sheer waters,
over buildings, cliffs and buildings.
