What Medicaid services do I get with <strong>Parkland</strong> HEALTHfirst<br />

Here is a list of some of the services you can get. Please follow your PCP’s advice. Your PCP is responsible for<br />

Annual physical exam for adults<br />

Physical, occupational and speech therapy<br />

Family planning services and supplies<br />

Behavioral <strong>Health</strong> services – (such as counseling and treatment)<br />

Substance abuse assistance (such as alcohol or drug abuse)<br />

Diabetic supplies<br />

Durable medical equipment and supplies<br />

<strong>Health</strong> education classes<br />

Some dental services for adult members – tooth pulling (requires a referral from the PCP to a <strong>Parkland</strong><br />

HEALTHfirst network dental provider).<br />

Transportation to medical, dental and behavioral health appointments through the Medical Transportation<br />

Program<br />

Services covered for members under 21 years of age may be different than those covered for members over 21<br />

years of age.<br />

How do I get these services How can I get a second opinion<br />

You should see your Primary Care Provider (PCP) to ask about medical services. You can get a second opinion<br />

regarding the use of any health care service. You can get a second opinion from a network provider or out-ofnetwork<br />

provider if a network provider is not available. There is no cost to you for getting a second opinion. For<br />
