Credit is granted only once. The repeat grade will replace
the previous grade in the GPA calculation. However, the
previous grade (F) will still appear on the transcript.
The class must be repeated before graduation.
STUDENT PROGRESS ASSESSMENT
In the sophomore and/or junior years, students are
carefully evaluated by several instructors in their division
and separately by a member of the Liberal Arts faculty.
The students’ work is reviewed, problems or weaknesses
discussed, and students are advised on their progress. This
provides an opportunity for the faculty to become better
acquainted with the students and their work.
All students must complete the Student Progress
Assessment as a requirement for graduation. Students
who change their major area of study must complete a
Student Progress Assessment for the division in which they
expect their degree. Most division assessments fulfill the
requirement for that division only; not all divisions allow
substitution of another division’s assessment for their
own. The Student Progress Assessment is conducted in
Spring Semester on dates indicated on the college calendar.
Students must add the assessment to their schedules
according to their major and class rank at the time of
registration. The following chart indicates the students in
each division who must register for an assessment:
TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS
Transcripts can be requested in person, by mail, or online.
Approximately 5–7 days must be allowed to process
transcript requests.
Students requesting transcript service should plan in
advance. Last-minute requests are difficult to process quickly
during certain periods of the academic year. Transcript
requests must include the student’s full name, maiden name,
signature, Social Security number, date of birth, current
address, years of attendance, number of copies desired,
and the complete names and addresses of individuals or
organizations that are to receive the transcripts. There is a
$5 charge for each official transcript requested. An additional
fee of $10 will be charged for rush service. To comply with
the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, the
college must have the student’s written consent to release
educational records.
Transcript request forms can be obtained from the One-Stop
Student Services office or online through the IQ Web system.
Current students may request transcripts online via the IQ
Web system. For more information, go to the “Transcript
and Enrollment Verification” page under One-Stop Student
Services at www.ccad.edu.
