the 3rd Semi-Annual KARAOKE on STAGE! at The Palace Theatre!
Amanda McDivitt, Julie D’Orazio, Jamie Stiffler, Mike Langer, Mary Ann Adkins
Glenn Smith with Glenndini Productions hosted our third Karaoke
on Stage! at The Palace Theatre. Twenty-four performers took to
the spotlight on Wednesday, April 14th. Screaming fans and family
members applauded their own! Cash prizes were awarded to the top
three performers as voted by our judges. Jamie Stiffler of Greensburg
was awarded first place honors after her initial performance of Before
He Cheats by Carrie Underwood and At Last by Etta James in the finale.
Runner up Mary Ann Adkins hails from West Virginia and was coaxed
by family and friends to come in the week of the event! 2nd runner up
Julie D’Orazio from North Huntingdon wowed the crowd with Where
the Boys Are by Connie Francis to earn a spot in the finale. Judges
included local recording artist Gary Pratt, Equity actor and Artistic
2 new shows going on sale to Trust Members! See inside for details!

Mike Langer and his management team have decided to give something back to
the community by forming the “WCTrust Walking Team.” Each team member is
asked to raise funds from friends and relatives to sponsor them for participating in

GET THE LED OUT took the show on the road in 2004. Now dubbed by the media as “The American
Led Zeppelin,” GTLO presents a two hour+ set that spans the mythic career of the legendary British
supergroup. With Musician Paul Sinclair and Guitarist Paul Hammond, the addition of Adam Ferraioli
on drums, Jimmy Marchiano on guitar, multi-instrumentalist Andrew Lipke (keys, guitar, vocals,
percussion etc.), and Billy Childs on bass, GTLO’s mission finally came into focus: to recreate
on stage the complete sound of Led Zeppelin’s recordings with the studio overdubs that Zeppelin
themselves never performed live. Oh, and without the wigs.
The critics are raving. The Patriot News, Central Pennsylvania’s leading news source, heralds, “Get
The Led Out didn’t just pass Zeppelin 101 with flying colors -- they’re working on their Ph.D. They
didn’t just do their Zep homework -- they’re teaching the class.”

of Westmoreland Cultural
Trust, hosted its 12th Annual
Achievement in the Arts Awards
Banquet on Sunday, May 16,
2010, in Commissioners Hall
at the Youngwood campus
of the Westmoreland County
Community College. The
GACC honored 54 high school
seniors from 18 Westmoreland
County high schools for their
outstanding efforts in music,
theater and the visual arts.
Westmoreland Cultural Trust President Mike Langer first thanked Judge McCormick and Judge
Pezze for their ongoing support of this awards banquet. He continued saying, “It is an honor
to be with you tonight on this special evening to celebrate these young men and women and
their excellent endeavors in the arts. So, too, we congratulate the parents and families of these
young artists for we share a common mission; to promote cultural activity, to facilitate growth and
development of the arts and to encourage collaboration of the arts. The Greensburg Area Cultural
Council promotes this mission throughout the region. You parents promote it in an even more
important place…your children. To our award recipients this evening, you have been blessed with
the gift. To the families of these artists, you have encouraged the work…and this is indeed quite an
artistic collaboration. Congratulations to all of you!”

Train Station a rest stop for MS WALK
Westmoreland Cultural Trust opens the Train Station as a rest stop for the MS Walk Sunday, April 18th.
Our emcee for the evening was Terry Brino-Dean, Theatre and Dance Program Director at Seton
Hill University. In Mr. Brino-Dean’s closing remarks he stressed the value of studying and practicing
the arts in high schools which is felt long after by individuals and society at large. He continued to
say that “putting yourself as a performer out there on stage or putting your art out there for others
to view or experience requires tremendous courage.” He spoke of how very personal in nature
and how proud those in the arts are of their craft, which is going to be in some way analyzed and
critiqued by all who see it. “It is a practice in courage. It is because of this courageous practice
of creating art for an audience that the arts breed confidence, assertiveness, self-awareness, and
problem-solving skills, all attributes that will serve us well throughout our lives.” He ended by
emphasizing the importance of arts education, that “we cannot and should not allow the present
economic climate to diminish our society’s commitment to the arts.” He applauded everyone for
supporting the efforts of these students, encouraged all to continue as advocates for the arts in
their schools and communities and wished all of the students continued success.
Greensburg Area Cultural Council and Westmoreland Cultural Trust would like to thank the Arts
and Education Committee including Sandy Fisher, Renae Hajdukiewicz, Phyllis Kluska, Scott
Ludwick, Diana Robosky, Dawna Saunders, TaMara Swank and Magdelyn Vale for creating and
managing the event. We would like to thank event sponsors Dollar Bank, First Commonwealth
Bank, McDowell Associates Insurance and Sanford-Brown Institute for making this celebration
possible.
We extend a special thank you to Westmoreland County Community College for hosting the
banquet and Trib Total Media for bringing awareness of these talented students to the community.

Sanford-Brown Institute (SBI) –
Monroeville provides career-focused
specialized associate degree and
diploma programs in health care.
Opened in 1989, SBI – Monroeville
campus offers eight unique training
programs, including Medical Assistant
Specialist, Pharmacy Technician,
Respiratory Therapy, Surgical
Technology, Dental and Medical
Assistant, Medical Billing and Coding
and Polysomnography Training. These
programs are designed to help students
gain the specific skills and knowledge
that employers are seeking.
SBI - Monroeville is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools
and Colleges (ACCSC), a national accrediting agency recognized by the
United States Department of Education (DOE). Last year, ACCSC awarded SBI
– Monroeville the 2008-2009 ACCSC School of Excellence Award. The award
recognizes the high-level of achievement among Sanford-Brown’s students and
the school’s commitment to quality education.
Sanford-Brown’s faculty, staff and students are dedicated to serving the Greater
Pittsburgh community. Some of their local partners include the Ronald McDonald
House, American Heart Association and Make-a-Wish Foundation. As part of
SBI’s many allied health programs, students also work with prominent clinical
and externship sites within the community.

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Since 1983, Key Care Home Health Agency has been providing quality health care
services to residents of Westmoreland, Allegheny, and Northern Fayette Counties.
What does Key Care Home Health Agency do
We offer skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy,
and home health aide services to patients in their home, usually following an illness
or injury. Care can also be given to patients residing in assisted living facilities.
The advantage of this is that the patient can recuperate in a comfortable, familiar
environment, surrounded by family.
What does Key Care specialize in
Although we offer our patients a broad range of services, we specialize in wound
care, geriatric psychiatry, and orthopedic rehabilitation. Our Geriatric Psychiatry
Program offers an on-staff geriatric psychiatrist for patients suffering from
Alzheimer’s or Dementia. The goal for these patients is to minimize the medicines
the patients receive while maximizing their quality of life.
The Orthopedic Rehabilitation Program offers care to patients after receiving
orthopedic surgery, especially joint replacement surgery. Patients often find that
they are back to their normal routines faster after participating in our program.

A recent survey we conducted showed many patrons hoped to see
more dining options in downtown Greensburg. We are delighted to
tell you about several new openings!
The Supper Club opened in mid-June at The Greensburg Train
Station, an historic landmark owned by Westmoreland Cultural Trust
for more than a decade. Its casually stylish atmosphere features
several options “with a high class image yet affordable to all.” Its
Farm-to-Table Dining Room offers seasonal, market-driven menus
that change weekly utilizing local, sustainable and organic ingredients
along with fresh made desserts. The Chef’s Table is a bar setting
and seats you in the heart of a working kitchen for a “one of a kind” dining experience with an eight
course tasting menu. The Supper Club’s Gastropub features seasonal cocktails, premium spirits,
wine by the glass and craft beers with updated casual fare in a “something for everyone” menu.
The Wine Loft Lounge overlooks the Gastropub with local artisanal cheeses, cured meats, and
specially paired appetizers. Located in the Train Station at 101 Ehalt Street, The Supper Club is
open weekdays for lunch and nightly for dinner; hours vary. www.supperclubgreensburg.com
The Side Bar returns! Adjacent to Caffé Barista in the Union Trust building, also owned by
Westmoreland Cultural Trust, the quaint, intimate setting was named for its proximity to the
Courthouse and a twist on the legal profession’s courtroom protocol. With the slogan “Make your
next conversation a Side Bar conversation,” its Tapas menu provides samplings of foods that can
be shared or enjoyed solo, from Tuna Tartar and Crab Cake Casserole to Sirloin Sliders, Roast Beef
Melt, Fruit Fandango and more. Naturally, full “bar” service is available! Located at 7 W. Otterman
Street, The Side Bar is open Tuesday through Saturday from 4-11 p.m.
J. Corks opens soon as the sister restaurant to The Headkeeper. They’ll serve lunch and dinner
Monday through Saturday, with patio dining option, private parties and catering. Located at 25 E.
