IAS Events Manager Patsy Ee & Deputy Executive
Director Danny Koh flew to the Big Apple in late
February to learn and understand firsthand the
processes and methods of judging practised at the
EFFIE judging in New York, which took place on 26th
& 27th February. It was a once-in-a-lifetime
opportunity to be amongst the creme de la creme of
top-notch advertising and media professionals and
witness (and participate in) the actual judging
procedures 'live' and in person.
Organised by the New York American Marketing
Association, both Patsy and Danny gained practical
insights on the judging process and procedures in
preparation for the EFFIE Awards judging in
Singapore on 9th June.
Judges for the New York EFFIE Awards are drawn
from CEOs and Senior Managers of Ad Agencies,
Media Agencies and major advertisers. While in New
York, Patsy and Danny met up with Marie Scotti, the
IAA Director of Membership Services and further
strengthened mutual ties with an exchange of
information between IAA in New York and the IAA
Singapore Chapter.
