Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle<br />

A natural history museum famed for its Grande<br />

Galerie de l’Evolution, a stunning display of<br />

thousands of animal species with an area<br />

devoted to children. Other galleries house the<br />

rich collections of paleontology, comparative<br />

anatomy, mineralogy and geology. The galleries<br />

and exhibition halls are surrounded by the<br />

botanical gardens of Paris and one of the oldest<br />

zoological gardens in the world, the Ménagerie.<br />

The restored tropical greenhouses have reopened<br />

after a five-year face-lift. The Galerie des<br />

Enfants is a space geared for children aged 6-12<br />

devoted to biodiversity and the environment.<br />
