On 10/19/10 I, Inv JOSEPH BECERRA and Det/Sgt ART ROMAINE arrived at Pace<br />

University and met with VINCENT BEATTY; head of security at the university. Mr<br />

BEATTY was able to locate a student identified as SHKELZEN (SKAZ) GECAJ who<br />

was being sought for an interview regarding this investigation. Mr. GECAJ was<br />

interviewed and provided the following information. His full name is SHKELZEN<br />

GECAJ but goes by the nickname "SKAZ". His dob is and resides at<br />

at Pace. His home address is Cross River, N.Y. ph#<br />

914- Mr. GECAJ stated that he is a student at Pace and was on the<br />

football team until being kicked off for missing a counseling session. Mr. GECAJ<br />

stated that on the night of the incident he went to Finnegans Bar with two "cousins"<br />

he identified as MENTOR and ARIF. When asked what he was wearing that night,<br />

Mr. GECAJ stated that he was wearing a red button down shirt and jeans. He said<br />

he was also there with a girl who he went to high school with in Cross River who was<br />

visiting him. However, he would not identify this individual. Mr. GECAJ stated that<br />

he was intoxicated while at the bar and was having a good time because he was<br />

seeing some alumni who he hadn't seen in a while. Mr. GECAJ stated that just prior<br />

to leaving, one of his cousins told him that he was punched in the mouth and was<br />

bleeding. Mr. GECAJ said that he was upset by this but at no time started any<br />

trouble with anyone in the bar. He said that he went outside with his "cousins" but<br />

then came back in and subsequently left without causing any problems. He stated<br />

that he then went back to Pace with his "cousins" and the female friend whom he<br />

would not identify. He stated that he was driven home by an individual by the name<br />

of DWAYNE JONES but later changed his story and said he was brought back to<br />

Pace by someone else. Mr. GECAJ stated that he received several phone calls<br />

stating that "DJ" was shot and immediately went to the hospital. Mr. GECAJ stated<br />

that he was not at Finnegans at the time of the shooting and had left prior the<br />

incident. A Deposition was provided by Mr. GECAJ and is included as an enclosure<br />

to this lead sheet.<br />
