Investigator Morrison at Pleasantville Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 30 Grammercy
Pl, Thornwood, NY to interview PVAC First Responder Nicholas D’Addesio. A handwritten

Nick was home in bed when he got the ambulance page at approximately 1:28am
for shots fired, officer down. As Nick got close to Garrigan Ave, he saw Ambulance
7601 pulling into the Town Center. Nick got into Ambulance 7606 and they left with
about 6 EMTs. They pulled into the Town Center and pulled along the side of CVS.
Nick saw out the side window of the ambulance as a police officer yelled loudly to an
angry bystander. Nick thought the police officer had a gun or taser pointed at the
bystander. A county officer told the crew it was safe and they approached PO
Hess., who was near a Nissan Altima that had severe damage. They helped PO
Hess onto a stretcher and loaded PO Hess into 7603. Nick was then told to help
EMT Krista Wind who was treating a patient shot in the right arm. He helped get
the male onto a backboard, and onto a stretcher and then to an ambulance that left
the scene. Nick was left on scene with Gail Wind and Tyler Colangelo. A short time
later they were brought over to PO Castagna who had been boarded and collared
already. After he was loaded into the ambulance, Nick was told to drive the
Transcare flycar to WMC. Nick also recalled that the male with the gunshot wound
to the arm stated to EMT Krista Wind that he was in no position to do anything to
