This program consists of six courses that provide the<br />

basic principals and skills needed for a solid<br />

foundation in using machine tools, surface grinder,<br />

and the Cartesian Coordinate System.<br />

This program consists of six courses that introduce<br />

the student to the equipment and the art and <strong>science</strong><br />

of welding.<br />

170131 – Medical Assisting Transcription<br />

Grades 11-12<br />

Credits: 3<br />

This program provides experience in transcription of<br />

basic medical dictation: incorporating English usage,<br />

machine transcription skills, medical knowledge, and<br />

proofreading and editing skills, while meeting<br />

progressively demanding accuracy and productivity<br />

standards. The program also includes Medical<br />

Terminology, and Medical Office Procedures<br />

necessary to function within a medical office setting.<br />

The program also offers the basic background that<br />

would allow students to move into many medical<br />

fields that are related.<br />

students as an entry-level nursing assistant upon<br />

Dual Credit-MNA 100<br />

An instructional program that prepares individuals to<br />

perform routine nursing-related services to patients in<br />

hospitals or long-term care facilities, under the<br />

training and supervision of an approved registered<br />

nurse or licensed practical nurse. State registry is<br />

available upon successful completion of state written<br />

and performance examination. Prior to offering this<br />

course, the instructor and health <strong>science</strong> program<br />

must be approved for meeting state requirements<br />

set by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.<br />

Education provides’<br />

students with experiences which enable them to make<br />

within vehicle traffic situations. Through a sequence<br />

of classroom and supported driving experiences,<br />

students are introduced to the driving skills they need<br />

to safely operate a motor vehicle.
