20. Are laboratory staff trained in HIV testing and the other diagnostic tests that they are<br />

expected to perform<br />

21. Have staff received training on how to handle specimens and HIV test kits safely and<br />

appropriately<br />

22. Does your health care setting plan and conduct training sessions for staff to help them<br />

become more comfortable talking with clients about sexual anatomy, sexual behaviors,<br />

sexual orientation, and alcohol and drug use<br />

23. Do staff have the knowledge and skills needed to provide accurate, nonjudgmental<br />

education and information on MC as a strategy for prevention of HIV<br />

24. Do all service providers know how to refer clients for health information and services<br />
