production, handling and dissemination skills. We<br />

would like to receive training in computer and<br />

Internet use. We could provide training to other<br />

VISION<br />

The programme was created in January 1994 in<br />

Accra, in cooperation with the Ministry <strong>of</strong> <strong>Health</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

the Republic <strong>of</strong> Ghana. It aims to contribute to the<br />

conception and implementation <strong>of</strong> acceptable,<br />

appropriate, and effective support to the region's<br />

efforts to slow the spread <strong>of</strong> HIV, and to respond<br />

to new social and economic pressures arising as a<br />

consequence <strong>of</strong> the HIV epidemic.<br />

INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY<br />

Subject areas covered: consultancies, information<br />

exchange, networking, project evaluation, funding,<br />

training, courses, workshops, training <strong>of</strong> trainers,<br />

translating, technical support, resource centre,<br />

materials distribution.<br />

Users <strong>of</strong> the Centre’s information: community<br />

development workers, government personnel, media,<br />

media, NGOs.<br />
