� Torque driver<br />
If you have a torque driver, refer to the “Torque”<br />
column with each step.<br />
� Make sure you use the correct screw, and tighten all<br />
screws firmly to the torque shown in the table if you<br />
have a torque screwdriver. Never use a screw that<br />
you removed. Use a new one. Make sure the<br />
screws are tightened firmly<br />
System Board Replacement Notice<br />
Notice for 770E and <strong>600</strong>: Restoring the System<br />
Unit Serial Number: The EEPROM on the system board<br />
contains vital product data (VPD), such as the system unit<br />
serial number and the system board serial number. You<br />
must restore the system unit serial number to its original<br />
number when the system board is replaced.<br />
To restore the system unit serial number, do the following:<br />
1. Press and hold F1 and power on the computer.<br />
2. Hold down F1 until the Easy-Setup menu appears.<br />
3. Click on Config.<br />
4. Press Ctrl + N. The System Unit Serial Number<br />
menu appears.<br />
5. Follow the instructions on the menu.<br />
Notes:<br />
1. Do not power-off the computer during the restoration<br />
process.<br />
2. The serial number label is attached to the bottom of<br />
the computer.<br />
Notice for 770X and <strong>600</strong>E<br />
Serial Numbers: When the computer was<br />
manufactured, the EEFROM on the system board was<br />
loaded with the serial numbers of the system and all major<br />
components. The EEPROM contains the following serial<br />
numbers:<br />
� System board serial number<br />
� System unit serial number<br />
� CPU Card serial number<br />
� DC-DC Card serial number<br />
