A group that works for the preservation and restoration <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Fennel Creek Watershed. Founded in 2004, supporters organize<br />

tours and meetings and participate with local, county and state<br />

jurisdictions, community groups and experts in raising awareness<br />

for the eight-mile long watershed.<br />

A nonpr<strong>of</strong>i t organization founded in 2001 to preserve and promote<br />

the history <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Bonney</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> area. Meets the last Monday <strong>of</strong><br />

each month at the <strong>Bonney</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> Library. Current projects include<br />

the erection <strong>of</strong> highway signs designating local historical sites and<br />

the production <strong>of</strong> a wall calendar with historical photos.<br />

Kiwanis Club <strong>of</strong> <strong>Bonney</strong> <strong>Lake</strong><br />

The club’s main objective is to give primacy to the human and<br />

spiritual values <strong>of</strong> life. Efforts are directed toward the needs <strong>of</strong><br />

children as well as senior citizens. Specifi c projects change; main<br />

fundraiser is an annual Scholarship Golf Tournament in June at<br />

Tapps Island Golf Course, to benefi t <strong>Bonney</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> High School<br />

students. Meetings are held on Tuesday mornings at 7:00-8:00<br />

am, at the <strong>Bonney</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> Senior Center.<br />

Purpose is to bridge the gap between Prairie Ridge youth, families<br />

and seniors with the surrounding schools, cities, organizations and<br />

resources; to identify, plan and coordinate programs that serve<br />

local needs; to create sustainable programs for youth; and to build<br />

capacity to serve the community. Meetings are held the 2 nd Monday<br />

<strong>of</strong> each month at 11:30 am, at the Prairie Ridge Community<br />

Center (14104 Prairie Ridge Drive).
