About the Resource Guide
White River Families First Coalition fi rst published a community
resource guide in 2004. The goal was to provide a locally based
publication that shared both supportive resources as well as the
many opportunities and activities available right in this area. As the
community and the resources changed and grew, so did the need
to publish another edition.
The 2008 edition focuses on the entire Pierce County plateau,
including the communities of Bonney Lake, Buckley, Wilkeson,
Carbonado, South Prairie and Prairie Ridge. Most of the information
in this guide is within these boundaries. Additional resources
in Enumclaw, Sumner and other surrounding communities are
sometimes included by the researchers. Every attempt was made
to be accurate, complete and inclusive.
The volunteers and sponsoring organizations do not specifi cally
endorse or recommend any individual organizations or businesses
listed in this guide.
