“How CCA prepared us for<br />
college life: academic, athletic<br />
and social”<br />
Each January, alums return to CCA to speak with juniors<br />
and seniors. This year they are also speaking to<br />
parents to share their stories <strong>of</strong> transitioning from CCA<br />
to college. Please join us to welcome these alums to our<br />
PA meeting.<br />

“Thank You”<br />
We extend a grateful thank you to Risa Rountree,<br />
hospitality co-chair, for providing the delicious<br />
treats during the morning PA meeting in<br />
December. We also extend this heartfelt thank<br />
you, once again, to Fancy’s Market <strong>of</strong> Osterville<br />
for donating the c<strong>of</strong>fee. Finally, we extend a huge<br />
thank you to Vicky Uminowycz, manager<br />
<strong>of</strong> Titcomb’s Bookshop, and Edye Nesmith, CCA<br />
parent and Titcomb’s employee, for providing<br />
such great book ideas as our December meeting<br />
guest speaker. Titcomb’s provided the books and<br />
gifts for our Holiday Book Fair this year.<br />
As a CCA family, they went over and above the<br />
expectations <strong>of</strong> our Holiday Book Fair<br />
planning committee.<br />
Thank you, also, to all <strong>of</strong> our Lunch on Us<br />
Volunteers who provided the wonderful lunches<br />
to staff and faculty on Friday, December 12th<br />
(Parent/Teacher Conference Day). Our<br />
Lunch On Us co-chairs, Donna Hegarty and<br />
Cindy Parrella, did a fantastic job <strong>of</strong><br />
organizing our parent volunteers:<br />

Big, Exciting, Stupendous Auction News…<br />
After much discussion, investigation and comparison with other independent schools, we have<br />
decided to move our auction from summer (much too busy for most, out <strong>of</strong> town for many) to a truly<br />
inspirational time <strong>of</strong> year, SPRING!<br />
