General -- Great athlete and tremendous leaper
that should compete for playing time up front ...
can play both middle hitter and on the right side
and that versatitlity is an asset.
As a Freshman (2004) - Appeared in 27 matches
and 82 games ... recorded a career high seven
kills against Colgate (9/4) ... had 71 kills on the
season ... also had 46 digs and 53 blocks.
High School -- A three-year letterwinner for
coach Erika Paladino Hazelett at Lincoln High ...
earned first-team all-city and all-conference honors
each of her final two seasons ... was firstteam
all-state in 2003 ... named to the all-state
tournament team her senior year ... also a letterwinner
in basketball ... chose UMKC over
University of Chicago, East Tennessee State and
Davidson.
Personal -- Born January 27, 1986 ... daughter
of Rico and Sheryl Johnson ... will major in either
biology or criminology.

Not putting a new roll of toilet paper
on the holder and stealing food.

anything my mom cooks and milk.

What movivates you to play
Division I volleyball Because I
love to play and it so happens to
pay for my schooling.
What have you gained from the
UMKC volleyball program A
higher level of play, and friendships.
If you were an actress, who
would you be and why Julia
Roberts because she is a classic.
She makes great movies, loves her
family and is beautiful.
I look up to... my mom for her
strength and determination. My
dad for his dedication and stubbornness
and my high school
coach, Coach Paladino for teaching
me volleyball and how to love it.

Kills: 9 vs. Drake, 11/9/04
Digs: 7 vs. Western Illinois, 10/16/04
Blocks: 4 on five occassions
Last season against Drake, Johnson finished the
match with a career high nine kills to help the
Kangaroos top the Bulldogs 3-2.
