Division I volleyball I love the
competitiveness that playing the
game brings.

the UMKC volleyball program
The friendships that I have made
with my teammates. I couldn’t ask
for better teammates.
If you were an actress who
would you be and why Rachel
McAdams - That way I could play
her role in “The Notebook.”
I look up to ... my sister Jill Evans.
She has set a great example for me
to follow in life, and best of all, she
will always be my best friend. She
is my best advisor and my source

total ranks sixth in UMKC history ... ranked third
in the Mid-Con in total assists and assists per
game ... also had 67 kills, 48 blocks and 17 service
aces ... recipient of the Lester
Milgram Award, presented annually
to a UMKC student-athlete who has
displayed consistent sportsmanship
and outstanding play.
As a Sophomore (2003) -- Played
in all 33 matches ... recorded 1,214
assists (10.38 apg), fourth-best season
in school history ... placed third
in Mid-Con in total assists and
assists per game ... also hit for a .241 percentage
with 114 kills, 49 blocks and 14 service aces.
As a Freshman (2002) -- Played in all 32 matches,
recording 1,130 assists (9.83 apg) ... that total
ranks seventh in school history ... also recorded
201 digs (1.75 dpg), 41 blocks and 14 service
aces.
High School -- A two-time all-Sunset League
performer ... competed against some of the best
prep competition in the nation ... played club ball
for Orange County Nike, one of the premier club
programs in the country ... attended same high
school and played for same club team as former
UMKC standout Katie Keating ... chose UMKC
over Regis and California-Irvine.
Personal -- Born October 27, 1984 ... daughter
of John and Loretta Waltemeyer ... majoring in
