Swinney Recreation Center<br />

• Created with a $14.5 million addition to old Swinney<br />

Swinney Recreation Center serves as the practice and event facility<br />
for <strong>UMKC</strong> volleyball. It features five basketball courts and two racquetball<br />
courts.<br />
The Oak Street Housing East project is a collaboration between<br />
<strong>UMKC</strong> and Capstone Development Corporation. This five-story,<br />
132,000 square-foot facility houses 560 primarily freshmen and<br />
sophomore students, and opened in 2004.<br />
