(d) to regulate, except as may be provided by any<br />

rules made by the Minister, the methods <strong>of</strong><br />

wiring <strong>of</strong> premises, the types <strong>of</strong> apparatus that<br />

may be used, the inspection and testing <strong>of</strong><br />

wiring or apparatus and such other matters as<br />

may appear expedient in relation to the supply <strong>of</strong><br />

energy;<br />

(e) to regulate the performance <strong>of</strong> any acts necessary<br />

or expedient for the proper management <strong>of</strong> the<br />

supply <strong>of</strong> energy to consumers.<br />

61. <strong>The</strong> Minister may by notification in the Gazette<br />

exempt from any or all <strong>of</strong> the provisions <strong>of</strong> Part V <strong>of</strong> this<br />

<strong>Act</strong> and <strong>of</strong> rules made under this <strong>Act</strong> —<br />

(a) any installation, or part there<strong>of</strong>, owned by or<br />

worked by or on behalf <strong>of</strong> the Corporation;<br />

(b) any installation, or part there<strong>of</strong>, constructed<br />

before the commencement <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Act</strong>;<br />

(c) any other particular class <strong>of</strong> installation or<br />

apparatus,<br />

and may by similar notification cancel any exemption so<br />

notified.<br />
