• Give high flow oxygen<br />

• After aseptic skin preparation<br />

• Insert a large bore needle over rib:<br />

– 2 nd intercostal space<br />

– Over 3 rd rib at mid-clavicular line<br />

• Listen for hissing sound <strong>of</strong> air escaping<br />

• Insert chest drain<br />
