Young band take action<br />
An up and coming rock/metal band from<br />
the Cullumpton/Exeter area of Devon, who<br />
are all in their teens, ‘Hailing Star’ are truly<br />
kicking ass!! Formed in early 2008 they<br />
haven’t been playing together long but already<br />
they are creating a following, <strong>with</strong> a<br />
lot of interest from the local music scene.<br />
The band Elliot - lead guitar & vocals, Matt<br />
- drums & backing vocals, Luke - Rhythm<br />
guitar <strong>with</strong> Helen - bass and backing vocals,<br />
play a mix of c<strong>over</strong>s by BMFV, Triviam,<br />
Black Tide, Papa Roach, Green Day<br />
etc... Plus their own material, which they<br />
continue to write and produce. They have<br />
got together to record and promote a single<br />
‘Last Heroes’ which is dedicated to their<br />
friend rifleman Daniel Caffey and to soldiers<br />
in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was recorded<br />
at The <strong>Music</strong> Hall in Newton Abbott<br />
and will be released as a single to raise<br />
money for the charity ‘Operation Braveheart’<br />
that helps injured soldiers and their<br />
