As Hurricane Katrina pounded New Orleans and
Biloxi, we watched in despair the misery of our fellow
citizens’ who were rendered homeless. Americans
continue to fight the first natural disaster that has
wrought havoc and has actually destroyed all the
towns along the US gulf coast. This nightmare has
caused immense loss in terms of life and property.
CNN has mentioned “this is Ground Zero of Natural
Disaster in the US”.
The highlight of the tragedy is the stark reality that
global warming has to be dealt with, by one and all.
To avert similar disasters to some extent the
ecological balance of the earth has to be maintained
as a joint responsibility.
Pujari requests all of you to join us in our prayer to
Mother Durga to give us hope and strength to rebuild
and renew the lives of the affected people.
