Reiki- The Vibrational Peace

“ Really!”
“It exudes peace. The smell of incense and a strange sense of well being prevail. I am so much at peace here.”
“You have just stepping into the
world of positive energy! Have
you ever wondered that in the
worst of cyclonic conditions, the
temples in Orissa were not
destroyed; it was because of that
divine energy that envelops the
entire place. Being a Reiki
channel, I feel that this energy is
the same that protects us and our
environment from negativity and
exudes peace and tranquility for us
and from us.”
“You mean to say that Reiki is that
feisty and powerful”
“Yes, it is that powerful due to its
positive energy. Interestingly,
during world war II in Japan, the
Reiki centers were not destroyed
despite the bombings on
Hiroshima and Nagasaki.”
“I want to experience the way
Reiki works on people and their
ailments. You know I have a
chronic back problem. All
treatments have failed, can you
help me.”
“Yes, of course.”
“You sound enormously confident.
Do you mean to say I still stand a
chance of playing with my son,
will I be cheerful in the mornings,
looking forward to the hectic day
ahead, without popping in
painkillers In short, you will
make my dreams come true”
“Yes, just have faith and leave
everything to God.”
“O.K, done. What’s the action
plan What am I supposed to do”
It was so nice to see Nandani
smile after a few sessions of
treatment.
She became inquisitive about the
treatment thereafter.
“It is amazing and I have not felt like
this for the past few months,
absolutely fresh and light! The pain
is much better too. You’ve already
given me hope. Please tell me more
about Reiki.”
“Reiki is a Japanese method of
healing. Anyone can learn it since it
requires no qualification, meditation
or experience. Spiritual Masters like
Jesus Christ, Gautam Buddha and
Sai Baba had been practicing Reiki
for ages, but Reiki was made
available for mankind by Dr Mikao
Usui, the Dean of a Christian college
in Japan.
One day his student insisted him to
clarify the Bible saying, “You will
heal as I have done and even greater
things….” said by Jesus.
If this is so, then why aren’t there
healers in this world performing the
same acts as Christ Usui did not
have an answer to this issue! This
very incident made him travel to
India and it was in the Tibetan lotus
sutras that he found the intellectual
answers to the healings of Christ.
But these answers were partially
useless without the knowledge of
how to execute them and incorporate
the knowledge into a healing
modality. His strong pursuit for
touch-healing took him to Mount
Kuri Yama, a sacred mountain in
Japan. Here he resolutely
commenced a fast and meditation for
21 days for the quest of
empowerment through meditative
purifications.
It was on the 21st day of meditation
that the divine light struck him and
he received the empowerment.”
“Sounds interesting but then did he
help out fellowmen”
“Yes, he started working in the
beggar’s quarters
for 7 years,
healing and
helping them in
earning their own
livelihood,
respectable
position in the
society.”

The results were remarkable at the
beginning, but later on Usui noticed
the same faces in the colony, some
of whom had started earning
outside.
On inquiring, he discovered that
most of them preferred to live a
beggar’s life than earning! Usui
was not only shocked and shaken
by this response, he also took a
stern resolution that Reiki has to be
given only in exchange of other
energies in order to avoid creating a
beggar-pattern. Thus he laid the
rules:
A person should ask for a Reiki
healing willingly
There should be an exchange of
energy after Reiki sessions, not
necessarily as money. This return of
energy would release the healer and
the subject from the karmic
bondings. It could be a cup of
refreshning tea, a bouquet of
flowers or a loving hug.
By this time Nandini’s smile reached
her eyes, her face beamed with joy.
The pleasure that her back pain (that
had made her bed ridden) would be
healed completely was the reason of
her enthusiasm. It was kind of
infectious and I matched it.
