replacement fee for lost or damaged parking tags.<br />

5. Students are not to litter the parking areas.<br />

6. Failure to follow parking rules and regulations may result in any or all of the following<br />

sanctions:<br />

A. Reprimand<br />

B. Loss of parking privileges<br />

C. Placement of a mechanical locking device on the vehicle. The student must pay $25 to<br />

have the device removed. Students not having a parking permit will also be required to<br />

purchase one at that time.<br />

D. Suspension<br />

E. $15 illegal parking fine<br />

NOTE: Students who use their vehicles to transport themselves or others off campus during the<br />

school day without permission from school personnel or the administration face the same penalties<br />

listed above.<br />

7. A student may be issued a temporary parking tag for $1.00 a day in the event that the<br />

student has a parking tag and must, for some reason, drive another vehicle temporarily, or<br />

if a student has a special temporary need to drive to school and does not have a parking<br />

permit. Students may apply for temporary permits in the main office before or after school.<br />

8. All vehicles should be locked. No valuables should be left in the vehicles. Items, if left in<br />

vehicles, should be removed from sight, preferably being locked in the trunks of the<br />

vehicles. <strong>Northwestern</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> is not responsible for a vehicle or its contents while<br />

parked on the <strong>Northwestern</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> Campus.<br />

9. Any theft from or damage to a vehicle on the school's campus should be reported<br />

immediately to the main office. The campus resource officer will be notified if he/she is<br />

available. If the resource officer is unavailable, the <strong>Rock</strong> <strong>Hill</strong> Police Department should be<br />

contacted (329-7211).<br />

10. If a car has been wrecked or traded, the parking tag must be brought to school in order to<br />

obtain a new tag. Information on the new vehicle will be taken at this time.<br />

11. A student must not transfer his/her parking tag to another student.<br />

12. Students must have permission from an administrator to be in the parking lots during the<br />

day. Loitering in the parking lot or inside of cars during breaks, lunch periods, or upon<br />

arrival to school is prohibited. Students violating this rule are subject to disciplinary action.<br />

13. Students experiencing chronic tardiness to school are subject to loss of their campus<br />

driving privileges.<br />

14. Students are not permitted to drive a car to ATC. In walking to and from ATC, students<br />

must use the covered sidewalk; students are not to be in the parking lot without permission<br />

from an administrator.<br />

15. Students are not to use there cars as lockers.<br />
