TRIBUTE TO ROY HARRIS<br />
Roy Harris (Cavalier Tool & Mfg. Ltd.)<br />
passed away on June 18, <strong>2007</strong> at the age<br />
of 67. On behalf of the member firms <strong>and</strong><br />
organizations involved with the Safety<br />
Groups’ Program, the following tribute<br />
was given at a recent meeting in<br />
Windsor:<br />
“I would like to take a moment to reflect<br />
on the contribution Roy has given to the<br />
<strong>Canadian</strong> MTDM Federation Safety<br />
Group. Many of you know that Roy<br />
served as a volunteer on the steering<br />
committee <strong>and</strong> treasurer from the very<br />
beginning <strong>and</strong> he was principally involved<br />
in launching our Safety Group in Windsor<br />
<strong>and</strong> involved in recruiting the original<br />
member firms. Roy’s drive <strong>and</strong> spirit of<br />
contribution will be sadly missed. Our<br />
industry has lost a pillar in the tool, die,<br />
mould making, <strong>and</strong> manufacturing<br />
community. I would ask that we all take a<br />
moment of silence to say thanks to Roy<br />
<strong>and</strong> wish his family well.”<br />
