NEW MEMBER PROFILE
Woodbine Tool & Die Manufacturing Limited is a
wholly owned Canadian Corporation that was founded in
1979. Tibor Urbanek, President of the company came to
Canada from Hungary in 1969. Over the past 28 years,
the company has provided the marketplace with quality
dies, stamped and assembled parts for the automotive,
electronics, computer, and appliance markets. The
company’s two facilities are both registered to the
internationally recognized standard of TS16949-2002
and QS9000, shipping over 60 million parts and over
100 dies per year. Their manufacturing plant houses
multiple late model stamping presses ranging in size
from 100 tons to 1,000 tons, with feed-line capacity of
50-inch width and up to 0.375-inch thickness.
Woodbine’s assembly department has 18 resistance
weld centres, 7 mig-welding robots and other assembly
equipment. Twenty-four hour production requirements
are supported with a current manpower compliment of
over 150 employees running over 3 shifts.
The tool room contains a wide array of technologically
advanced machining centres including a CNC milling
department and one of the larger CNC Wire EDM
departments in the industry. Many of Woodbine’s
customers started working with them back in the 1980’s
and continue working with them today. The company’s
tool shop is highly experienced in producing complex
progressive and transfer dies, forming HSLA steels up to
140KSI, and Woodbine is also an industry expert in

The tooling build location in Markham, Ontario is a
50,000 sq. ft. facility employing a large manpower force
of over 100 employees. These trained personnel offer
expertise and support in the areas of engineering, die
design and all facets of die manufacturing and testing. A
fully staffed engineering/design department, equipped
with the latest in CAD software, provide technical
support at all stages of tool development.
