MORNING PRAYER
God, come to my assistance. Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
PSALM (Psalm 63:2-7)
Ant. As morning breaks I look to you, O God, to be my strength this day.
O God, you are my God, for you I long; for you my soul is thirsting.
My body pines for you like a dry, weary land without water.
So I gaze on you in the sanctuary to see your strength and your glory.
For your love is better than life, my lips will speak your praise.
So I will bless you all my life, in your name I will lift up my hands.
My soul shall be filled as with a banquet, my mouth shall praise you with joy.
Glory be …
Ant. As morning breaks I look to you, O God, to be my strength this day.
BENEDICTUS (Canticle of Zechariah, Luke 1:68 – 79)
Ant. Let us serve our Lord in holiness all of our days.
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel; he has visited his people and redeemed them.
He has raised up for us a mighty saviour in the house of David his servant;
as he promised by the lips of holy men, those who were his prophets from of old.
A saviour who would free us from our foes, from the hands of all who hate us.
So his love for our fathers is fulfilled and his holy covenant remembered.
He swore to Abraham our father to grant us,
that free from fear, and saved from the hands of our foes,
we might serve him in holiness and justice all the days of our lives in his presence.
As for you, little child, you shall be called a prophet of God, the Most High.
You shall go ahead of the Lord to prepare his ways before him,
to make known to his people their salvation through forgiveness of all their sins,
the loving-kindness of the heart of our God who visits us like the dawn from on high.
He will give light to those in darkness,
those who dwell in the shadow of death, and guide us into the way of peace.
Glory be…
Ant. Let us serve our Lord in holiness all of our days.
PRAYERS OF THE HEART
LORD’S PRAYER
CONCLUDING PRAYER
Father, watch over your family and keep us safe in your care, for all our hope is in you.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Information for Parents of Years 10, 11 and 12
On 23 February, all students in Years 10, 11 and 12 will meet in the DPA after school (3.40pm) to take part in a
forum on Organ Donation. We are involving these students because they are in the various stages of getting a
Learner’s or Provisional Driver’s Licence, and the question of organ donation is part of that process. Kathryn
Ainsworth, from Greater Western Area Health, and a donor family, will speak to the students and will provide
factual information, dispel myths and encourage discussion of the issue.
The session will last about 45 minutes and students will have every opportunity to ask questions. Parents are
more than welcome to attend too, if they wish to receive this information. There will be no charge for this
presentation.
If for any reason you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me on 63 920 302.
