Louisiana Coastal Impact Assistance Plan - Coastal Protection and ...

On June 29, 2009, Greg Grandy briefed the Louisiana Coastal Protection and
Restoration Authority, at their meeting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on the
proposed amendments and minor changes to the Louisiana Coastal Impact
Assistance Plan. The two amendments proposed to the plan are the addition of
the State of Louisiana – Administration of CIAP Program and the addition of
the Update of the Plaquemines Parish Coastal Management Plan by
Plaquemines Parish. The revised version of the Louisiana CIAP Plan -
Version 3.0, was posted on the Louisiana CIAP website on both the LDNR
(http://dnr.louisiana.gov/crm/ciap/ciap.asp) and the Louisiana Coastal
Protection and Restoration (http://www.lacpra.org) websites and a 30-day
comment period was initiated on June 29, 2009 to allow for public comments
on the proposed revisions to the Louisiana CIAP plan. The 30 day comment
period closed on August 4, 2009 and no comments were submitted by the
public regarding the proposed revisions to the Louisiana CIAP Plan. The
proposed revisions (and previous revisions) are documented and tracked in
Appendix F, Louisiana Coastal Impact Assistance Plan Revisions.
On August 19, 2009, Greg Grandy presented the proposed revisions to the
Louisiana Coastal Impact Assistance Plan, LA CIAP Plan – Version 3.0, to
the Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority at their meeting in
Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Authority ratified and approved the proposed
amendments to the Louisiana CIAP plan.
Louisiana Coastal Impact Assistance Plan, Version 3.0 was submitted and
received by the Minerals Management Service (MMS) on August 24, 2009.
The amendments and revisions proposed to the Louisiana Coastal Impact
Assistance Plan in Version 3.0 were approved by the Bureau of Ocean Energy
Management, Regulation, and Enforcement (BOEMRE, formerly MMS) on
September 29, 2010.
On July 12, 2011 the Louisiana Coastal Impact Assistance Plan Version 3.1,
the July 2011 Administrative Update to the Louisiana Coastal Impact
Assistance Plan Version 3.0, was submitted to BOEMRE in accordance with
the current CIAP State Plan and Plan Amendment Guidelines issued
September 2010. The guidelines require each state to submit an administrative
update to its State CIAP Plan annually, incorporating all approved project
changes since the last administrative update or plan amendment was submitted
to BOEMRE according to the schedule provided in the guidelines. All
