We are offer<strong>in</strong>g a participation cl<strong>in</strong>ic each day of <strong>the</strong> Verde Valley<br />

Equ<strong>in</strong>e Festival. These cl<strong>in</strong>ics will give you <strong>the</strong> opportunity to<br />

br<strong>in</strong>g your own horse and have 2 1/2 hours of <strong>in</strong>structional<br />

time with one of our tra<strong>in</strong>ers at <strong>the</strong> affordable cost of $50 per cl<strong>in</strong>ic.<br />

We are excited to offer <strong>the</strong>se cl<strong>in</strong>ics and th<strong>in</strong>k <strong>the</strong>y will be a great<br />

addition to our wonderful l<strong>in</strong>eup of educational opportunities for<br />

you and your horse. To <strong>in</strong>sure plenty of one on one time with <strong>the</strong><br />

tra<strong>in</strong>er, <strong>the</strong> cl<strong>in</strong>ics will be limited to only twelve participants, six of<br />

which are reserved for VIP pass holders.<br />

Greg has competed successfully <strong>in</strong> many arenas <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> horse world<br />

<strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g re<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g, re<strong>in</strong>ed cowhorse, team rop<strong>in</strong>g, ranch rodeo,<br />

EXCA, American Horseman’s Challenge and is a work<strong>in</strong>g ranch<br />

cowboy. He took a horse to <strong>the</strong> 2013 Mustang Million and placed <strong>in</strong><br />

Dressage, Free Style, Cow Work, Trail and Re<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g. Greg had just over<br />

20 rides on that horse. He takes great pride <strong>in</strong> tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> ultimate <strong>in</strong><br />

versatility horses, us<strong>in</strong>g a no pa<strong>in</strong>, no fear<br />

and no restra<strong>in</strong>t program. His program is<br />

easy for horses and riders to understand<br />

and will help you on <strong>the</strong> road to<br />

master horsemanship.<br />

Lanny Leach is a nationally known horseman and cl<strong>in</strong>ician.<br />

He most recently placed second <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> National F<strong>in</strong>als of Colt<br />

Start<strong>in</strong>g Challenge USA <strong>in</strong><br />

Las Vegas. He was selected to<br />

serve as <strong>the</strong> tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g advisor at<br />

Montgomery Creek Ranch, a<br />

not for profit horse sanctuary<br />

<strong>in</strong> nor<strong>the</strong>rn California to<br />

oversee tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g nearly 200<br />

wild horses. Lanny will use<br />

his 7 pr<strong>in</strong>ciples of knowledge,<br />

patience, preparation, plann<strong>in</strong>g,<br />

consistency, repetition and<br />

change to help you and your<br />

horse develop <strong>the</strong> confidence<br />

and ability to work toge<strong>the</strong>r<br />

to make lateral movement,<br />

leg yields and side<br />

pass<strong>in</strong>g achievable.<br />

Paula is no newcomer to competition, she has numerous championships <strong>in</strong> many events <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g<br />

Mounted Shoot<strong>in</strong>g, EXCA and Barrel Rac<strong>in</strong>g. Paula will teach you drills and techniques to keep<br />

your barrel horse balanced and work<strong>in</strong>g from his h<strong>in</strong>d end. You will also learn how to identify<br />

and fix problems before <strong>the</strong>y become major issues. This cl<strong>in</strong>ic will also work on rollbacks, extension/<br />

collection, precision of foot work and how to apply it to barrel rac<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
