MEN, WOMEN. THE SAME? Both enjoy riding more when using
bikes and equipment that are designed specifically for their

At Specialized, our approach to women’s products, as with all others, is to
determine who the customer is and what her unique needs are before we
begin the design and development process. That allows us to create a
complete package of bicycles and equipment that properly fits women’s
bodies and suits the way women really ride. Everything from the geometry
to the frame tubing, and from the components to the graphics, has been
focused on making her riding experience the absolute best. Our entire
Designs for Women line is not a batch of diluted men’s offerings,
but uncompromised performance, fit and style envisioned for and
created by women riders.
We’re tireless in our efforts to make the best women’s products possible, and
we learn more every day through our own research and feedback from all
types of riders the world over. We also anticipate a female rider’s needs with
the use of statistical anatomic data and psychographic profiles. The basic
differences between men and women are easy to peg, but creating great
bikes and equipment based on those differences takes lots of time, effort and expense.
After years of research, refinement and testing, our team of female product managers
and developers has created the best and most extensive line of women’s-specific products
available—including bikes and equipment for all types of road, off-road, and casual riding.
