The tubular for Olympic athletes.<br />
Our target for this re-development can be described easily:<br />
Faster! Lighter! Better! The rolling resistance is further<br />
reduced without compromise; the last unnecessary gram of<br />
the tyre has been cut. This tyre is the pinnacle of our tubular<br />
range, manufactured and hand sewn using carefully selected<br />
components at our German factory in Korbach. This makes<br />
the Olympic II the specialist in all track cycling disciplines.<br />
The specialist for artistic cycling, bicycle polo, cycle ball as<br />
well as indoor wheelchair sports.<br />
The demands on tyres for indoor sports is becoming more<br />
and more specific so that floor adhesion is enhanced. Thanks<br />
to a new rubber mixture, visible marks on floors are out of the<br />
question. During indoor sports, tyres are subject to extremely<br />
high demands which the Saalsport resists due to its high<br />
strength carcass. A glued tubular tyre is essential due to the<br />
high transverse forces which exist in indoor cycle sports and<br />
wheelchair sports.<br />

Black Beauty on the track.<br />
The special class is the reference in indoor track meetings. For<br />
generations a synonym for reliability – Appreciated worldwide<br />
and hotly desired by riders as well as mechanics. We have now<br />
optically updated the classic amongst our tubular tyres for the<br />
velodrome. Presented in a new all-black guise, underlining the<br />
special class even better and giving a nobler image. The<br />
innermost values remain untouched: high value nylon carcass<br />
and the classical “Handmade in Germany” treatment.<br />
Speed is everything.<br />
We’ve made the Tempo go even faster! With an extremely fine<br />
nylon carcass and the latest BlackChili Compound it is a credit<br />
to its name. Designed for the track, as a very light and<br />
extremely fast competition tubular tyre, it is also bought by<br />
famous professionals and “misused” for mountain stages<br />
and time trials. Handmade in Korbach, it is however not<br />
recommended for use in road races due to its uncompromising<br />
composition.<br />
