K4 Open House Letter - Lebanon School District

Northwest K4 families,
Welcome to K-4! We are excited about the beginning of another
school year and look forward to getting to know you and your
family. The beginning of the school year is busy and can be
overwhelming for our youngest students. Therefore, we would like
to invite you and your K4 child to Open House before the first
day of school. This will take place on Thursday, August 22 nd from
6-7:30 Pm. Our hope is that it will make the transition to school
for our youngest students a pleasant and more comfortable
experience. Here are some things you can expect if you join us:
* Meet your child’s teacher.
* Explore the classroom from 7-7:30 Pm.
* Learn about drop off and pick up procedures for the
first day.
* Schedule a time for a home visit with your child’s teacher.
* Share any special information about your child before
the start of school.
* Ask questions about the school year.
We hope you can stop in for a visit during our open house, but if
you cannot, please note the following:
* Before the first day of school, please make sure your child has
a book bag that is labeled with their name. If your child brings
a jacket to school, please make sure it is also labeled with
their name. The first day of school can be very busy and we want
to give all of our attention to helping the children adjust and
feel comfortable in the classroom. Therefore, we ask that if
there is information you need to share with us before the first
day, please try to attend our open house, or contact the school
office and leave a message and we will attempt to contact you.
* On the first day, children will be asked to line up by the
classroom. K4 students line up on our playground at the north end
of the building. There will be signs indicating where each class
should line up. Each student will have a nametag. Please find
your child’s nametag and make sure they have it on.
* We will be visiting your home during the first week of school.
*If you do not attend the open house, be sure to call the school
office to schedule a time that is convenient for you. During this
time, we can talk about the classroom, what the K4 year looks

like, and address any questions you may have.
We hope you can join us for the open house and look forward to
working with you this school year!
