Lake Grace
Lake Grace is always a popular destination for Curtin volunteers.
Travelling 3 hours southeast, 15 volunteers worked at the local hospital
museum painting a picket fence & general maintenance. Volunteers stayed in
private billet & enjoyed a scrumptious BBQ to cap off a great weekend.
Feedback from the site: Painting 100 mtrs of picket fence was no big
challenge to the engineering students, they finished it in record time. The
heritage listed Australian Inland Mission Hospital now looks cleaner &
brighter - thanks to John Curtin Weekend volunteers. The Lions families
of Lake Grace enjoyed their presence & their company, they portrayed
maturity, intelligence & true friendliness.
Great hospitality of the town & the amount of fun we had while doing our work.
Everyone got on great! - Callum Leomans (Volunteer)
