According to the International<br />

Monetary Fund (IMF), the country’s<br />

strong economic performance<br />

will continue in 2015 with the<br />

expectation of 4.5 per cent growth.<br />

The positive economic outlook will<br />

bode well for the UAE’s facilities<br />

management (FM) industry that<br />

has emerged as a well-developed<br />

economic sector.<br />

Imdaad has always given special<br />

emphasis to consolidation of its<br />

core competencies to enhance<br />

the quality of its service that<br />

not only complements the<br />

UAE’s continual growth but<br />

also add significant value to the<br />

FM sector. We have outlined a<br />

visionary road map towards more<br />

growth and development via the<br />

implementation of our five-year<br />

growth plan .<br />

It entails creating more<br />

opportunities in the FM sector by<br />

expanding to newer markets in<br />

the GCC, enhancing its services to<br />

offer more green and sustainable<br />

facilities, forging strategic<br />

partnerships in the UAE and<br />

beyond, and signing long-term<br />

contracts with our existing and<br />

new clients<br />

Our dynamic plans for 2015 will<br />

help us streamline our processes<br />

and venture into fresher territories<br />

such as hospitality, aviation and<br />

hospitals to achieve our long-term<br />

agendas. Imdaad is upbeat of<br />

achieving important milestones<br />

this year by leveraging advanced<br />

technologies and latest techniques<br />

to deliver integrated FM solutions<br />

in line with the UAE’s transition<br />

towards a ‘smart’ city.<br />

Region wise, we already have<br />

an established presence in Qatar,<br />

Oman and Saudi Arabia and<br />

going ahead, we want to venture<br />

into other GCC countries where<br />

the demand for FM services is<br />

rising significantly. Lastly, Imdaad<br />

is looking forward to establish<br />

strategic partnerships or form new<br />

joint ventures for service expansion<br />

into the Waste Management<br />

industry.<br />

Imdaad Qatar, the Facilities<br />

Management (FM) company based<br />

in Qatar, has announced that it has<br />

signed a deal with United Development<br />

Company, the Island’s master developer,<br />

to provide professional cleaning services<br />

to the Master Community infrastructure,<br />

buildings, and facilities throughout the<br />

Pearl Qatar in Doha.<br />

Under the terms of the 3-year<br />

agreement, Imdaad will provide routine,<br />

periodic, reactive and deep cleaning<br />

services within the community. The<br />

scope of work includes Mechanical and<br />

Manual Road Sweeping and Cleaning,<br />

Seawater Cleaning, Fixtures, Beach<br />

Cleaning, General Cleaning, Empty<br />

Plots, and PA Boardwalk Cleaning. The<br />

cleaning services shall include all Master<br />

Community areas with the exception<br />

of Madina Central, retail areas, water<br />

features, and residential buildings.<br />

Imdaad shall supply all required labour,<br />

tools, cleaners, equipments and<br />

materials to carry out the work.<br />

November 2014) with a flag raising<br />

Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin<br />

Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice<br />

signed a five-year strategic<br />

agreement with the Mohammed<br />

Bin Rashid Housing Establishment<br />

(MRHE) to offer full and integrated<br />

maintenance services for MRHE’s<br />

occupied residential units and<br />

houses with expired maintenance<br />

contracts. The partnership is in<br />

line with the Establishment’s<br />

commitment to providing worldclass<br />

community services and the<br />

highest standards of quality, luxury<br />

and welfare to its beneficiaries in<br />

Dubai.<br />

The agreement was signed by<br />

H.E. Sami Abdullah Gargash,<br />

CEO, Mohammed Bin Rashid<br />

Housing Establishment, and Jamal<br />

Abdullah Lootah, CEO, Imdaad,<br />

in the presence of high-ranking<br />

executives from both sides. The<br />

partnership between Imdaad and<br />

Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing<br />

Establishment covers a total of<br />

3,485 houses including 544 units<br />

in Al Warqaa; 940 in Oud Al<br />

Muteena; 509 in Al Warqaa; and<br />

252 houses in Al Barsha. The prices<br />

and types of services are applicable<br />

to the Establishment’s 1,240-unit<br />

project in the Al Barsha area.<br />

FUN-FILLED ACTIVITIES<br />

Imdaad, a leading provider of<br />

organized several fun-filled<br />

activities in commemoration of the<br />

UAE’s 43 rd National Day. Imdaad<br />

hosted at its workshop in JAFZA<br />

numerous exciting events led by<br />

CEO Jamal Lootah and attended by<br />

the company’s senior management<br />

and employees.<br />

The company organized henna<br />

painting sessions and workshop,<br />

live cooking of traditional Emirati<br />

food and coffee preparation,<br />

‘Camel Ride and Photography,’ and<br />

‘Falconry Display and Photography.’<br />

To further capture the Emirati spirit,<br />

the venue was decorated with UAE<br />

flags, while Emirati-style tents and<br />

majlis were set up.<br />

A local band also performed<br />

traditional music as added<br />

entertainment for the guests. These<br />

activities showcased the country’s<br />

rich heritage and long-standing<br />

7EmiratesRun, a 575 kilometer<br />

charity run across the seven<br />

emirates. A team of select runners<br />

(CSR) initiatives and in celebration<br />

of the UAE’s 43rd founding<br />

anniversary as a nation.<br />

The 7EmiratesRun is dubbed<br />

last December 2, 2014 as<br />

Foundation’s A’awen fund,<br />

which will help UAE patients<br />

with critical health conditions<br />

who cannot afford medical<br />

“ENVIROCARE MONTH”<br />

COMPANY TO AWARD EXCITING PRIZES TO<br />

EMPLOYEES WHO TURN IN LARGEST QUANTITIES<br />

OF RECYCLABLES<br />

As part of its continuing commitment<br />

to saving and preserving the<br />

environment, Imdaad celebrated its<br />

‘Enviro Care Month’ with a recycling<br />

collection campaign for its employees.<br />

For the whole month of October,<br />

Imdaad put up a recycling station that<br />

was manned by a designated recycling<br />

collection team to collect recyclable<br />

items from participating employees.<br />

Items considered for recycling include<br />

paper, cardboard, newspapers, old<br />

directories and magazines; plastic<br />

bottles and bags; aluminum and tin<br />

cans; glass bottles; electronic waste<br />

like computers, phones, scanners,<br />

toners, etc. and scrap metals.<br />

The activity is aimed at instilling<br />

an increased awareness on how<br />

certain items can be recycled<br />

and put to better use, which at<br />

the same time, leaves less of an<br />

impact or carbon footprint on the<br />

environment. During the run of<br />

the campaign, the recycling stands<br />

and the corresponding teams<br />

will be stationed from 7:00 AM<br />

to 8:00 AM daily to receive the<br />

recyclable items. The collection<br />

team will weigh the received<br />

items and provide a receipt for the<br />

participating employee. At the end<br />

of October, the recycled quantities<br />

will be summarized and employees<br />

with the largest amount of items<br />

donated will receive exciting<br />

prizes. Winners will be based on<br />

recyclable items collected from<br />

their respective homes, however, a<br />

special set of consolation prizes will<br />

also go to the employee with the<br />

highest quantity of recycled items<br />

collected from Imdaad offices.<br />

which is again in line with requests<br />

from staff time and again.<br />

This year one of the major leap<br />

of satisfaction is in the insurance<br />

and medical benefits with our<br />

insurance dealer being able<br />

to enhance our policy cover<br />

and increase our ceiling up to<br />

AED150,000 – 250,000 for preexisting<br />

VEHICLE INSPECTION<br />

REPORT<br />

Vehicles with Green Point<br />

• Set the AC at a comfortable temperature - 24<br />

degrees Celsius is recommended. In many<br />

offices people are uncomfortably cold but have<br />

no control over the thermostat.<br />

• Turn off the AC in meeting rooms and spare<br />

offices as you leave them.<br />

• Post “Switch It Off” stickers near switches as<br />

reminders.<br />

• If there’s a heat source near a thermostat, such<br />

as a coffee pot or a computer, it can trick the<br />

thermostat into thinking that the room is hotter<br />

than it really is. Make sure to keep them away<br />

from each other.<br />

• Set the AC system to low fan speed as the<br />

normal setting.<br />

• Lower window blinds to reduce direct sunlight.<br />

• Close windows while the AC is switched on to<br />

keep cool air from escaping.<br />

• Keep main entrance, office and cabin doors<br />

closed wherever possible.<br />

• Install blinds, solar screens or shades to cool the<br />

office.<br />

• Install reflective window film or awnings.<br />

Water:<br />

Low-flow urinals use as much as 96% less water.<br />

And you can save a whole 1.5L per flush with a<br />

simple brick placed in your cistern.<br />

• Repair leaks.<br />

• Install automatic shut off nozzles.<br />

• Post “Turn It Off” stickers near taps as reminders.<br />

• Install water-saving faucets on all taps.<br />

• Install low flow or zero water urinals.<br />

• Install low flush cisterns in bathrooms.<br />

• Regulate the water pressure in all devices.<br />

ACT GREEN CAMPAIGN LAUNCH<br />

In line with Imdaad’s vision aiming at achieving an impact in sustainable and green living, the Act campaign was<br />

launched to spread awareness amongst all GCC city resident.<br />

The online campaign providers our fans with green facts and tips to encourage them in pursing sustainable lifestyle<br />

in the city. Each week a new fact shared on our platforms<br />

FACEBOOK TABS<br />

Alongside to the weekly posts. The Act Green Campaign features a Facebook tab that follower can acces to learn<br />

how to become enviro-friendly, and an opportunity to share the knowledge with their friends and family. Don’t<br />

forget to visit our Facebook page in your free time, to learn to help us spread awareness!<br />
