Ph.D. PROGRAM<br />
Doctoral program in Environmental Science was successfully launched in 2003.<br />
Learning OBJECTIVES<br />
To inculcate in depth knowledge about particular environmental issues and train to use<br />
advanced technologies and procedures to analyze the environmental problems and finding<br />
the solutions<br />
Outcomes <strong>of</strong> this EDUCATION<br />
• Experiences in academic and applied research<br />
• Pr<strong>of</strong>essional and scientific attitude towards environmental problems and solutions<br />
Scheme <strong>of</strong> STUDIES<br />
• Total 18 Credits course work in two semesters (9 credits teaching in Semester I and<br />
9 Credits teaching in Semester II). (The courses will be <strong>of</strong>fered according to the area<br />
<strong>of</strong> specialization opted by the candidate)<br />
• Comprehensive Examination is compulsory prior to the approval <strong>of</strong> synopsis.<br />
Eligibility CRITERIA<br />
• Minimum 18 years <strong>of</strong> education<br />
(M.Phil OR MS OR Equivalent)<br />
in the subject <strong>of</strong> Environmental<br />
Science/ Botany/ Zoology/<br />
Chemistry/Physics/Agriculture/<br />
MBBS/Pharmacy/Geography/<br />
Wild life and Fisheries is required.<br />
