MS PROGRAM<br />
Learning OBJECTIVES<br />
The MS Zoology degree program aims to prepare the students <strong>for</strong>:<br />
• Identifying, developing and focusing on a thorough knowledge <strong>of</strong> a specific research topic dealing with one or more <strong>of</strong><br />
the following areas: genetics, developmental biology, physiology, genetics, entomology, Parasitology, microbiology and<br />
Molecular biology.<br />
• Developing the ability to <strong>for</strong>mulate an innovative research plan and carry out original independent research on a hypoth<br />
esis to be tested in depth concerning novel ideas about animal biology. Mastery <strong>of</strong> specific and advanced technical<br />
research skills (established or novel) that is necessary <strong>for</strong> testing the hypothesis<br />
• Evolving aptitude to write and present the research topic, and defend the results and conclusions in a public <strong>for</strong>um and<br />
presentation <strong>of</strong> the research results to the larger community <strong>of</strong> scholars in the state, nationally and internationally.<br />
• Creating the awareness <strong>of</strong> issues concerning scientific misconduct and maintenance <strong>of</strong> high ethical standards in<br />
research.<br />
• Acquisition <strong>of</strong> teaching skills involving oral and written explanations <strong>of</strong> complex<br />
scientific ideas.<br />
Outcomes <strong>of</strong> this EDUCATION<br />
After the completion <strong>of</strong> the MS degree the students will be able to:<br />
• Relate everyday problems with the laboratory research to get valid<br />
and applicable solutions by complying the ethical issues<br />
concerned.<br />

BS/M.Sc degree in Zoology,<br />
MBBS, B-Pharmacy, DVM,<br />
B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc. Forestry,<br />
BDS.<br />
• All other requirement as per<br />
university policy (please see<br />
university admission criteria <strong>for</strong><br />
MS/Ph.D).<br />
