To list the necessary activities needed <strong>to</strong> make the advocacy strategy successful<br />

1. Now that the group underst<strong>an</strong>ds the definitions of advocacy <strong>an</strong>d lobbying,<br />
expl<strong>or</strong>e what the goals are. F<strong>or</strong> level 2 learners objectives are not looked at<br />
separately but rather inc<strong>or</strong>p<strong>or</strong>ated in<strong>to</strong> the goal. See the inf<strong>or</strong>mation <strong>an</strong>d<br />
definitions given in Learner m<strong>an</strong>ual.<br />
2. Ask the group <strong>to</strong> use the table <strong>to</strong> complete the goals f<strong>or</strong> their strategy <strong>to</strong> <strong>raise</strong><br />
<strong>awareness</strong> <strong>an</strong>d <strong>influence</strong> auth<strong>or</strong>ity.<br />
3. Once they have mastered the goals they need <strong>to</strong> look at pl<strong>an</strong>ning activities.<br />
Use the example in Learner m<strong>an</strong>ual <strong>to</strong> describe how activities are pl<strong>an</strong>ned.<br />
4. Allow lots of time f<strong>or</strong> the learners <strong>to</strong> pl<strong>an</strong> <strong>an</strong>d develop activities. They may<br />
need lots of assist<strong>an</strong>ce <strong>an</strong>d input in <strong>or</strong>der <strong>to</strong> complete this task.<br />
