ENERGY EFFICIENT APPLIANCE REBATE PROGRAM
Program Guidelines Effective October 1, 2011
PROGRAM YEAR 2011-2012
Rebates for the purchase and installation of qualified EnergyStar® Certified Appliances are
available to all residential customers of Centralia Light. The rebate is based on the appliance
purchased. Rebates are as follows:
EnergyStar® Certified Clothes Washers – Must have a MEF > 2.46 qualifies for
$70.00, MEF between 2.20 and 2.45 qualifies for $50.00, and MEF between 2.00 and
2.19 qualifies for $30.00. Use of gas, propane, or any other water heater types other
than electric will be eligible for a $20.00 rebate. Dryer can be any fuel type.
EnergyStar® Certified Freezers – Must be a full size (volume >7.75 cu. Ft.) to be
eligible for $15.00 rebate.
EnergyStar® Certified Refrigerator – (volume >7.75 cu. Ft.) Eligible for $15.00 rebate.
ONLY ONE APPLIANCE PER APPLICATION ALLOWED. Qualifying EnergyStar® Certified
Appliances must have been purchased after October 1, 2011 to be eligible for the rebate. All
rebate requests must be submitted on or before September 15, 2012 to be eligible for
payment. Rebates will NOT be paid to contractors, installers, distributors, or retailers.
Until such time as this program’s parameters change, the rebate is available to multi-family
units of any size. In multi-family buildings, an application form must be filled out for each
housing unit in which an EnergyStar® Certified Appliance has been installed.
Centralia Light reserves the right to inspect and approve an applicant’s clothes washer
for conformity to program requirements. For more information regarding the Energy

This program will remain in effect as long as there is funding available for it to
continue.

THE APPLIANCE MUST BE AN ENERGY STAR® CERTIFIED MODEL TO QUALIFY FOR THE
APPROPIATE REBATE.
Check the efficiency rating of the appliance to make certain it meets the program’s requirements
before it’s purchased and installed.
Once this form has been completed and a copy of the purchase receipt has been
