search engine for the 20 million articles of MEDLINE,
which provides several types of products and services. The
article published by Dr. B. Nandlal, Professor, Dept. of
Paedodontics & Preventive Dentistry, and Principal, JSS
D and Dr. Daneswari V., Ex-Post Graduate student of JSS
Dental College & Hospital, titled ‘Restoring Biological Width
in Crown-root Fracture: A Periodontal Concern’ has topped
the list of 20 articles in the Domain of Article since its
publication (2007). This article was published in the Journal
of Indian Society of Paedodontics & Preventive Dentistry

JSSDC&H Students Win Prizes Again and
Again
Dr.Rahul Goyal, Post Graduate student, under the guidance
of Dr. B Nandlal, Prof. & Dr. Prashanth S., Reader, Dept. of
Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry, JSS Dental College &
Hospital, Mysore, won the First Prize in Poster presentation
titled “Minimal Intervention Dentistry” at ‘65th Indian Dental
Conference 2012’, Mumbai, held from 9th-12th February
2012.
Dr. Gauresh Patel won 3rd Prize in Poster Presentation
titled ‘Dental Hypersensitivity – Home Care Regimen’
during Colgate Indian Dental Association Future Dental
Professionals Programme held at JSSDC, Mysore in March
2012.
Dr. Shivali S. Gaekwad and Dr. Sameekshya won the First
Prize in Poster Competition at the ‘Lines and Lesions – A
Complete Endo-Perio Workshop’ held in Bangalore in June
2012. The topic of the presentation was ‘Fenestration and
Recalcitrant Pain – Unraveling the Enigma.
JSSCP Mysore Wins Prizes at AIISH
AAWAAZ -2012
Around 50 students of our college had participated in
the inter-college cultural & literary competition -AIISH
AAWAAZ 2012 held from 16th to 18th March 2012. It
was organized by All India Institute of Speech and Hearing,
Manasagangothri, Mysore. Students who participated in
the event from JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysore won 2nd
prizes in four events. The events that won them prizes were
Mock press, Group Dance (western), Face Painting and Pencil
Sketching. These winning students were awarded with a total
cash prize of Rs 2,350. Congratulations to all the winners and
the students and staff who supported them to achieve it.
Best Poster Awards for JSSCP Mysore
Students
Four students of Regulatory Affairs department, Ms. Anusha,
Ms. Blessy, Mrs. Navaneeta, and Mr. Krishna received
the Best Poster Awards in the seminar on the topic ‘eCTD
Submission, Challenges and Future Perspectives’ organized at
JSSCP, Mysore on 17-18th February 2012.
JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysore Wins
Debate Competition
Mr. Animesh Kumar of IV B.Pharm and Mr. Gokul Raj of
III Pharm.D Participated and bagged 1st Prize in district
level debate competition entitled “Vikram Sarabhai Debate’’
organized by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Yelwala at
Regional Institute of Education on 31st March 2012.
