Kinder 2014 Parent
Information Night
I am hoping you have remembered
our Parent Information Meeting
for parents and carers of Kinder
2014 students? If not, don’t worry!
You haven’t missed it. The meeting
will be held on 9th October
from 6pm to 7pm in the school hall.
The meeting will be presented as
a slideshow/powerpoint. This will
allow questions, clarification and
discussion to occur as needed.
Essentially this meeting is for parents
and carers. However, we do
understand that for some parents to
attend, children may need to come
as well. Activities will be provided
for children in order for parent and
carers to focus on the presentation.
If you are not able to attend this
meeting, do not worry! The slideshow
will be on the school website
and the school Facebook page.
This will also allow you to revisit
the presentation in your own time.
We are looking forward to meeting
you on this night.
Please note: If you have a child
starting Kindergarten next year
and you haven’t been to the
school to collect an Application
to Enrol Form, could you please
do so as soon as possible.

Student Invoices
Term 4 sees great changes with new
programs that operate school financial
transactions. With the impending
office program changes the impact
will affect all payments made
to the class teachers and office.
The school seeks your support for
payment of all outstanding student
invoices. This includes, Intensive
Swimming Program, School Contributions,
Stage 2 Kolady music,
recorders and workbooks. We ask
that all outstanding payments be
made by Week 3, Friday 25th October.

A big thank you to all the students,
parents and staff that have supported
us in the lead up to Molly
playing soccer at the National
Championships in Brisbane this
week. Many of you have purchased
raffle tickets and made a donation
on the out of uniform day back in
term 2. We are grateful to be part
of a supportive community and
look forward to watching her represent
our school, community and
state as captain of the NSW team.
Thank you to Mrs Scanes, Mrs
Mahar and Ms Franks for balancing
classroom activities with sporting
events. Special thanks to Mrs
Hinton just for being Mrs Hinton.

Girls Soccer
The Girls Soccer Team Round 6 of
the PSSA Knockouty played against
Caves Beach at TRAD Field, some
children came to watch our game
by bus. It was a tough game with
the score at full-time being nil all.
We went into extra time of 5 minutes
each way and still the score
was nil all. The result of the match
was then decided on the first corner
scored and that was Old Bar.
We now go into the next round and
that will be against Guyra Central
School. This will be the PSSA Quarter
Final for Girls Soccer. All the girls
have worked extremely hard to get to
this level and we would like to thank
our coach Miss Franks and parents
who have encouraged us and assisted
us with transport. Written by:

What wonderful performers we
have! They seem to be enjoying
themselves very much. This
group is from K-2/3H rehearsals
at the MEC.
