Term 4 Week 4 1st November 2012CongratulationsCongratulations to Molly Arens onbeing named Myall Lakes Sportspersonof the Year. Molly will onceagain represent the Hunter at theState Cricket Championships inLismore next week as part of theHunter Girls Cricket Team. Goodluck Molly.Bey Blades, Trashpacks and other toys.K-2 teachers have expressedsome concern about these toyscoming to school with many ofthe children in their classes. Theyunderstand that children wantto share these items with theirclassmates for news. When thesespecial toys are used in the playground,problems are surfacing.Some children like to “trade”, butdon’t understand the concept ofthis action and want their toysback. On occasions, these toys arebroken, lost or stolen when broughtto school. These situations canoften lead to arguments, fights andtears, usually taking a very longtime to resolve. It would be greatlyappreciated if parents could assistteachers by monitoring the bringingof ANY toys to school, as theycannot be responsible if anythinghappens to these special items.The children do have access totoys, activities and equipment inthe playground.
