Roberts farmhouse and installed<br />

a temporary metal<br />

roof over a mélange of<br />

roofing materials.<br />

Metal roofing was chosen<br />

to provide maximum<br />

protection and lowest<br />

maintenance needs until<br />

the Western Foothills Land<br />

Trust is prepared to begin<br />

rehabilitating the 1823 timber<br />

framed structure. The<br />

original roof would have<br />

been wood shingles; the<br />

original center chimney<br />

was dissembled and never<br />
