Andrew C. Eisenhauer,
M.D., has been appointed
medical director of the
Central Maine Heart and
Vascular Institute at Central
Maine Medical Center.
Dr. Eisenhauer will
provide leadership and
medical direction to the
inpatient and outpatient
programs and services
provided by CMHVI.
He will work with physicians,
staff and administrative
leadership to oversee
quality and patient
safety initiatives, efficiency
of operations, and the
overall performance of
CMHVI.

Prior to joining the
CMHVI team, Dr. Eisenhauer
worked as an interventional
cardiologist at
the Brigham and Women’s
Hospital, Boston
MA. He is a recognized
leader in cardiology and
interventional cardiology
with expertise in treating
complex coronary disease
and structural heart disease.
He received the Regional
Top Doctor Castle
Connolly award in 2014.
He has numerous publications
in the areas of
interventional cardiology
and transcatheter valve
replacement.
Dr. Eisenhauer graduated
from Medical School
at the New York University
School of Medicine.
He completed his internship
and residency at Peter
Bent Brigham Hospital,
Boston MA.
He completed his fellowship
in interventional
cardiology at Massachusetts
General Hospital,
Boston MA. Dr. Eisenhauer
holds Board Certifications
in Cardiovascular
Disease, Interventional
Cardiology and Internal
Medicine.
Andrew Eisenhauer,
M.D. has extensive experience
as a medical educator.
In recent years he
served in various capacities
at Harvard Medical
School, and the Brigham
and Women’s Hospital,
all in Boston. Earlier in
his career was an assistant
professor of medicine at
the University of Chicago
and the University of
California, Los Angeles
School of Medicine.
His office is located at
Central Maine Heart Associates,
60 High Street
Young Wing ground floor.

Magical, Mystical Moments
(Is that you God?)
I have a framed print that
has been in my bathroom
for at least 20 years. Probably
3 to 4 times a week
while I am getting ready for
work I notice that it is hanging
crooked and I reach up
to straighten it. One day
recently, I reached up to do
the deed and this time as
my fingertips made contact
with the frame I felt a tingle
go up my arm and the light

bulb went on in my brain! I
had an epiphany!
I read again the verse
on the bottom on the print;
Colossians 3:14 - Above
all else, let love guide your
life.
It occurred to be that as
we are bombarded with
the things that happen
on our life our love “gets
crooked.” When someone
hurts our feelings, we forget
to love our neighbor
and we start becoming disgruntled.
When life is less than
fair, we complain instead
of embracing the situation
with love. Suddenly our
whole world is crooked.
Every time things look
bleak, remember love conquers
all!
