From The Principal<br />
WOW what an amazing fair this year!<br />
We are indebted to our faithful P&F and the many volunteers and sponsors that<br />
helped us with our annual fair. It was a tremendously successful event bringing<br />
many families and others together for a day of entertainment, fun and building<br />
community. Thank you to all of you who came along and supported us on the day <br />
you are our extended school family and pivotal to helping build our positive, family<br />
culture here at <strong>Coolum</strong> <strong>Beach</strong> <strong>Christian</strong> <strong>College</strong>. This is what I love about our school<br />
families coming together and building a community for our children to grow up<br />
and mature in.<br />
The Bible talks about the fruits of the Spirit being: love, joy, peace, forbearance,<br />
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-‐control (Gal 5:22-‐23). It is<br />
these values that build us in character, integrity and help us grow into mature and<br />
wise adults. When we come together for events like our annual fair, it is again<br />
lives.<br />
We are currently working with our Year 10s, engaging them in a SET (Senior<br />
Education & Training) planning sessions to assist them in selecting subjects for Year<br />
11 next year, helping them develop goals and dreams in life and exploring pathways<br />
towards those goals and dreams. Part of this process involves our Year 10s<br />
participating in work experience in the final week of this term. They are currently<br />
being trained in finding and applying for work. These are very valuable experiences<br />
for our Seniors and help them transition towards real world careers.<br />
